iPhone has limited support for IFTTT and no Android Tasker… But it is worth exploring Shortcuts for some good automation

Having moved aback again to iPhone to see how it has progressed over the last 9 years I realise that one area it does still lack is with really powerful scripting like Tasker for Android provides. I’m not exaggerating when I say Tasker is extremely powerful, and you can automate all sorts of low level functionality, or even simple ones like alerting you to a lost WiFi signal (ie. you may have lost your mobile hotspot).

But iPhone does have an app called Shortcuts which is well worth having a look at for lots of useful automation that can be set up. You need to go through it a bit just to be aware of what all can be done.

The linked article below gives a taste of the types of automation you can set up and may give you some ideas.
