A short video of our walk in the Majik Forest in Cape Town

It’s about a 2,8km walk that takes 55 minutes at a very easy pace. The walk uphill can be done on the left-hand side which is mostly paved and open area right below the houses. The return walk can be done via the forested side which has a number of tracks, but watch out for cyclists on this side as they have right of way.

There are two guards who patrol the area and the open area side is obviously the safest side, but we often pass a mom or two with her kids even on the forested side.
There are a few benches to sit on, a kiddies play area (very basic) and many people do sit and picnic here (or have their wedding photos taken here like we did). You’ll see ducks swimming around, various birds, and even fish in the two small dams.

Access can only be gained by a gate at the top and the bottom, which if I recall correctly are opened at 7am and locked at 7pm daily.
