Why Battery Electric Vehicles Beat Hydrogen Electric Vehicles Without Breaking A Sweat, Although Hydrogen May Be Suited To Niche Applications

I always try to remember hydrogen "powered" vehicles still have electric motors and the hydrogen must be converted to electricity. Hydrogen is also more difficult and costly to distribute / transport than plain electricity.

But hydrogen can be suited to depot type operations with many vehicles passing through that depot eg. a trucking route, buses, ferries, etc.
Hydrogen is just not very efficient or practical for vehicles that travel randomly all over the place.
