To celebrate Cookie Monster’s birthday (which is apparently November 2), Waze is bringing the voice back.
To change the voice in your app launch Waze and then tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left side of the page. From there, tap the Settings button at the top left and then select “Voice & sound” from the menu. Tap “Waze Voice” to see all your options.
That’s not all though because with Waze you can also easily record and use your own (or someone else’s) voice for navigation. Waze is still more fun than Google Maps navigation.

Earlier this year Waze made Cookie Monster one of its navigation voices. It was fun, but it was also a limited engagement, which means if you had Cookie directing you around he eventually disappeared and was replaced with the default Waze voice instead.
