Google denies altering YouTube code to break Microsoft Edge – Microsoft denied breaking ODF format compatibility a few years back too

It's always difficult to know what to believe with these allegations as individual agendas abound as well as corporate ones, and then there are bugs too.

But I did just find this one rather ironic after many of the open document format users had spent at least a decade accusing Microsoft of doing the same with OOXML and ODF to make ODF "broken" on Microsoft Office with constant changes. The net result was ODF struggled to be adopted even though many governments made it their standard for interoperability so that MS Office, OpenOffice or any other word processor could be used and replaced without losing access to the documents…
