The most downloaded mobile apps in South Africa
Capitec is the only banking app to feature in the top ten most popular apps downloaded in South Africa. The app featured in ninth on the overall list, behind social media networks Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp but beating ride-sharing service Uber.
This is according to the annual South African Social Media Landscape report launched on Monday by Ornico and research consultancy World Wide Worx (WWW).
