Most default OEM (original equipment manufacturer) browsers are average at best. However, Samsung has put more effort into making Samsung Internet stand out against Chrome and the other third-party web browsers in the Play Store.

I know most people just stick to whatever default browser is on their device (hence the Microsoft choice issue in the EU a few years back), but Samsung’s Internet app is actually quite popular for being fast and efficient.
I use Google Discovery for news on my Android phone (you can swipe left off the home screen and just read the news, but by default that opens Chrome browser to read articles (even if you have a different browser set as the default on your phone). So a tip for this app, is to go into it’s settings and deselect “Open web pages in the app” then it will use whatever default browser you have set, and the ad-tracking and masses of pop-ups etc are gone.
