UberASSIST: making Cape Town more accessible for additional assistance to seniors and those with access needs
UberASSIST has been designed to provide additional assistance for senior riders and riders with access needs. Driver-partners are specifically trained to assist riders when getting into a vehicle, and can accommodate folding wheelchairs, walkers and service animals. UberASSIST vehicles do not have wheelchair accessible ramps.
It is live in Cape Town as well as Johannesburg and will greatly supplement other services such as Dial-A-Ride already operating and who have a high demand.
