Yes nothing replicates Instagram exactly and it depends on what you want to post and follow. But the Intagram I started out on many years ago was an independent upstart without tons of commercial adverts filling my feed, and my own concern is that it’s getting too close to Facebook now, and that means information being mined and used elsewhere.
My posts are actually more about technology and things I do than just selfies. Tumblr has actually worked quite well for me and I do get a bit of feedback there. Steller looks interesting too with ‘Collections’ which may well split different topics of posting into Collections – I like that kind of focus vs one long stream of everything.
