Fully Charged's review of the Bollinger B1 rugged electric sport utility truck
Electric is not only for cars, planes, boats, trucks, vans, etc but also for the Land Rover type offroad vehicles too now. This video shows some of the interesting features that have gone into the design of the Bollinger B1. A real rethink of this type of vehicle.
The electric motor produces 360 horsepower and 472 lb-ft. of torque. The battery is a 60 kWh unit that allows for a 120 mile (193km) range with charge times on a 220V Level 2 Charger taking 7 hours, or a fast charge 50% charge in 45 mins. There is also an optional 100 kWh battery pack which gives a 200 mile (321km) range.
Probably only going to be in commercial production by 2020 but it gives a taste of what is going to be possible.
