AirPods Pro and Android: Is it worth it? What Works and What Doesn’t

It should go without saying, but you’ll never get the same functionality with AirPods on Android. AirPods are meant to be used with iPhones and iOS. And unlike Apple’s Beats headphones, which have an Android app to make up for some of the functionality iOS users get automatically, Apple has no such solution for non-iOS AirPods users.

Some of the most key new functionality does work but you’ll still need a 3rd party app for battery level detection. That said do you really need to pay over $200 when a $40 pair of wireless buds may still work? If noise cancelling is what you after then it may be worth just comparing all the noise-cancelling alternatives.
