I was very used to using either PushBullet or "send to device" from my browser on a Linux computer, but both only work as far as to a Mac computer, or other Linux, Windows or Android devices.
In 2021, you just expect more basic stuff to work! What is working well (for free and no 3rd party service required) is activating "Sharing pages via QR code" in Brave browser (or similar Chromium based browser) and there are extensions for Firefox too. After that you just point the iPhone camera at the QR code that pops up when you chosen to create one ion the desktop browser, and the camera will detect the QR code and shows a pop-up to open the link in the phone browser.
The other thing I miss from using PushBullet was the ability to copy-and-paste selected text from the desktop computer and paste in the phone, but again PushBullet no longer is available for iPhone. I see there are apps such as myPhoneDesktop which seems to work across Windows, Mac and Linux so any advice is welcome on what may work well for these cases.
