An interesting round up by Ars Technica and shows the pros and cons of the various second factor authentications apps. Google’s may be well known but it is still playing catch up to Authy. Authy works wherever Google Authenticator does so don’t think you need to use the Google one when a Google Authenticator option is given – you just have to go through the process once to link Authy in place of the Google Authenticator app, then you use Authy after that.
