They do have variable bitrate for slower links (hope you can also limit it on faster links) as well as some really flexible packages (eg. just one weekend for R49 or a week). There is live News as well as Sport but sport mainly seems to be soccer, gold, motor racing, cricket, athletics, tennis and a mix of others.
One thing missing for South Africans (from what I can see) is no featured rugby channel. You can see their TV channels at https://za.deod.tv/en/live-tv and movies at https://za.deod.tv/en/subscription.
