Google to phase out user-agent strings in Chrome – What will this mean for Brave, Vivaldi, etc Chromium browsers?

As recently as a month ago Vivaldi realised its users were being excluded from some sites due to their browser not being recognised as a "chrome" or "chromium" browser. They hard changed their UA string to "fix" this issue. So what does this new change by Google mean for those excellent Chromium based browsers?

I’m sure it will become clearer in the following month or two.

Chrome will move to a new technology called Client Hints, part of the newer Privacy Sandbox project.
