Open source is not about one company or dev pushing out open source code for a product. Ideally it sparks innovation and spreads risk across many organisations and individuals collaborating together. The diversity of ideas and experiences is what sparks the innovation and broader fit for purpose solutions.
Many Chinese universities have also jumped on board – the first being Tsinghua University, which jointly releases openEuler and openGauss technical books in joint collaboration with Huawei.
Such initiatives are re-usable and re-shareable for everyone.
