So after we had Nexus 6P battery related issues (which was only resolved for US citizens) now we have reports growing around Pixel 3 battery issues. I will keep repeating that I am still bitterly disappointed with my Nexus 6P battery death (including the replacement battery I fitted with great effort) and that the compensation never reached buyers in Africa. A flagship phone is not a cheap purchase and you expect it to last at least a full 2 to 3 years (it should be 4 years actually).
I’m seriously going to consider any flagship phone that has quick updates and a replaceable battery, even if it is a PinePhone in future – wafer thin is just not on my top 5 considerations for a phone.
Google seems to be more geared for the US market only and I’m doubting I’ll be buying another Pixel phone as there has been a rumour that every second release has "issues".
