Some fun mnemonic tips on how to learn Morse Code as well as some interesting uses

They say once you are fluent in Morse Code it is just like reading and writing in a second language. It's not something I've actually learnt yet but I have heard much depends on the methods used to learn it. This video shows some interesting techniques on how to remember which letters stand for what (none of these methods will teach you proper fluency though - more for pure translation).

This is followed by some fascinating examples of where Morse Code was used in history for coded communications.

It all piqued my interest to actually try the links below the video itself on YouTube to try the learning methods. I was surprised to find that yes you do sort of pick it up. Obviously, you'd want to keep practising more and more until it becomes second nature. As I understand it, once your brain has started to subconsciously separate and recognise the patterns, that is when you are really getting it.

The last example in the video itself showing how Morse Code can be fitted into a binary code was really interesting.
