This is a short clip recorded from my OpenWebRx (which means you can tune in too) as the ISS passed over Cape Town tonight. It is only visible for a few minutes. The FM repeater on board allows any amateur radio station to transmit on 2m VHF and be received elsewhere on 70cm UHF 437.800 MHz.
This means during that short window of time these frequencies can relay through the ISS and be heard a few hundred kilometres away. What you are hearing here (not too clearly as I have a standard VHF vertical antenna) is a few ZS stations making contact via ISS.
