LibreOffice community celebrates 7th anniversary

Today, the LibreOffice community celebrates the 7th anniversary of the leading free office suite, adopted by millions of users in every continent. Since 2010, there have been 14 major releases and dozens of minor ones, fulfilling the personal productivity needs of both individuals and enterprises, on Linux, macOS and Windows.

Two interesting observations here from the desktop survey:
1. Yes there is some Microsoft Office usage on Linux (it installs under WINE and some other means).
2. LibreOffice is already far ahead of OpenOffice (from which it was forked).

I love LibreOffice because it installs and runs across my Linux, MacOS and Windows machines I use daily… and its free.
