This wheel arrived yesterday to replace the Speedlink O.Z. wheel. The Logitech wheel has far wider support for Linux as well as most games, has 24 programmable buttons, and has a full 900 degrees rotation.
The Speedlink only had 180 degrees and is really difficult to control a car with any natural steering feel, and as it is not a mainstream wheel, I could find no way to easily enable its force feedback in Linux. I would strongly recommend that if you are going in for racing and driving sims that you look at what wheels are in general use and avoid wheels that only rotate 180 degrees – they are really a waste of time and money and once you’ve tried a 900 degree wheel you’ll never want to touch a 180 degree wheel again.
