New monitor arm to align my three monitors… You can get adaptors for monitors without VESA mount holes

Monitors

Some lessons learnt from past purchases:

  • Don’t buy a fixed twin arm mount unless you have identical monitors otherwise one will be higher than the other as the VESA mount holes on the monitors are not at identical heights. Flex arms are fine with different monitors as you can move them independently to get the heights right (problem with my left most and centre monitors originally – new mount has flex arms).
  • A monitor that has no VESA mount holes at the back is not a problem (my right-most monitor in original picture) as you can buy adaptor mounts that grip the monitor and then mount on the arm.

So now it all looks much better and by lifting the right most monitor off the desk it has gained some extra desk space. I see the monitor grips were a bit skew in the photo, and they are straightened now and the cables tidied up a bit. My whole set-up is aligned a bit left of centre mainly because the power strips behind the desk must be moved for the arm clamps to move to centre (not a very difficult job to do a little later).
