OnePlus Nord review: Android’s best bang for your buck with 90Hz, modern design, and a $450 price? Awesome.

I’m only seeing good reviews about this phone and it’s great to see something this good coming in at the ‘affordable’ part of the pricing spectrum. It’s not a flagship phone but delivers more than enough in all categories, sometimes too much, with 6 cameras overall!

For a mid-range phone, there really isn’t much missing here. You still get NFC, the same in-screen optical fingerprint reader as every other phone, and OnePlus’ fantastic 30W quick charging. Compared to a flagship phone, the big list of missing features would be the aforementioned single speaker instead of stereo, no wireless charging, and no official water-resistance rating.

The battery is a 4,100mAh which is reasonable enough. Of course with Apple launching their iPhone SE at only $400 they’re going to squeeze the Android market, which is a good thing. We need better bang for the buck, and not more $1,500 phones.
