Privacy-focused Brave browser usage grew over 130% in the past year and 300% in participating publishers to earn cryptocurrency

Over the past year (since version 1.0 launch), Brave Browser saw an incredible 130% growth to reach 20.5 million monthly active users (MAU) and 8.7 daily active users (DAU) as of November 2020.

Brave attributes its growth to end user’s increasing frustration with the lack of privacy seen in more established browsers and a new advertising ecosystem that allows users to take control of how they browse the web.

The total number of verified creators grew from 300,000 to 972,000 since last year. Full disclosure: My own website is part of the program instead of having any adverts or third party tracker services running.
