Scotland To Permanently Ban Fracking after Public Consultation
What's interesting to me here is that their government actually listened to the 60,000 responses they received from the public (99 percent of respondents in the consultation were against fracking). In many cases today, governments consult behind closed doors with lobby groups and industry and make token gestures at actually consulting with their electorate.
This is not final yet though as it must still be a final vote likely taking place at the Scottish Parliament later this year.
