I love it! There is no reason why a 65+-year-old is any lazier or less tech-savvy than a 19-year-old. But I’ve seen companies cast aside perfectly productive 60 or 65-year-olds because the pension policy says so. These individuals have a wealth of experience and knowledge about people, and as the world’s population ages more and more consumers (often with disposal income) enters into this age bracket these people are well-positioned to understand that demographic and to serve their needs.
But Senior Planet is not just about technology at all, its about offering entrepreneur opportunities more broadly to senior citizens. I’m fully expecting the upcoming senior citizens to more productive than in previous generations as we are already seeing people live longer and also working longer beyond 65 today.
I’m hoping we see many more Senior Planet type organisations in future.
