Although this was posted back in 2013, nothing really changes around the fundamentals of Linux. I looked through the list, and it is all as relevant today, except maybe no mention of Arch Linux, AUR, and pacman, but those are all relevant for Arch only, and it’s derivatives.
This list is great for newbies to Linux though, who wanted some context on kernels, distros, desktops, panels, sym-links, RPM, KDE, GNOME, Debian, repos, mirrors, and more.
