Telegram v5.2 adds global group permissions, undo chat deletion, groups up to 200k members, and more

Way better Group management is a pleasure because if these get messy your life becomes a misery if you manage them. You can tighten groups all the way down to be read-only for followers, or restricting use of stickers, videos, GIFs, etc.

I still love Telegram too for its ease of integration with 3rd party applications like publishing from Home Assistant etc. It does many things that Whatsapp has not thought about yet (like a desktop app that does not need the phone to work).

And whilst some countries want to ban Telegram for not allowing their governments to have a backdoor into their encryption, for some reason Whatsapp is not banned which makes me think about why not…
