Whenever I see these types of titles to articles (I added the latter part above) I always suspect it is an article on the latest 7-bladed Gillette Fusion cartridge razor. But lo and behold, no it was an article on a really good razor that you can use and pass on to your son or daughter one day because it'll last.

So nothing new in this article for traditional wet shavers, but for those paying a fortune for cartridge blades (and often ingrown hairs) then the Merkur 34C recommended in this article is the same one I recommend for anyone starting out in traditional wet shaving.
