A very interesting read. Whilst LCHF has worked for me to keep off the 14kg I lost it could also be that by eating LCHF and feeling more saturated (and avoiding unhealthy sugar-laden foods) it has also achieved the effects of a lower calorie diet. I still don't believe a calorie is a calorie, as the studies tend do tend to use healthier food intake, and don't include eating cakes and sweets. I never had to calorie count with LCHF but it is true that one tends to not overeat on a LCHF diet. But it can also help explain why some say they don't lose weight on a LCHF diet at all.
Certainly, an interesting article to read. Healthy calorie restriction should certainly also work for most people.
