YotaPhone 3 Launches with a 5.2″ E-Ink Display on the Back
The YotaPhone 3 has a 5.5″ 1080p AMOLED panel on the front paired with a 5.2″ 720p e-ink display on the back. The e-ink display even comes with 3 capacitive buttons to help navigate the software without needing to use the main AMOLED panel. It has the Snapdragon 625 SoC inside and will come in two different versions. The 4GB of RAM variant will have 64GB of internal storage and there will be another with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The back of the device houses a 13MP camera with a dual-tone flash and it will be paired with a 12MP sensor on the front. The YotaPhone 3 will ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the company’s YotaOS 3.0 OEM ROM on top of it. Inside it has a 3,300mAh capacity battery that can be charged with a USB Type-C cable. Pre-orders begin on September 5th for ~$360 and ~$465 depending on the storage option you pick, with actual sales starting on September 18th.
The e-ink screen is ideal for longer reading in brighter sunlight.
