You can actually enable a non-Chinese iPhone to accept dual SIMs but better to use eSIM if you can

This is an interesting mod done by purchasing a dual-SIM module that is found in Chinese iPhones and inserting it into other iPhones where it actually works fine. But your first option would always be to rather use an eSIM or digital SIM if your carrier supports it as this type of work could void warranties or lose the waterproof ratings of your iPhone, and of course Apple may disable this "feature" on future versions.

For me, what was interesting to see was how much easier it is to access the battery on an iPhone because replacing the battery on my Google Nexus 6P phone was a mass of glue and difficulty.
