Wonderful to see not only open source tools being used for a taxpayer funded project, but that the code is also published on Github, with the issues being logged and managed there too. This is really how ALL government funded software projects should be executed.
The code can be re-used at no cost, other devs can learn from the code, and there is no vendor lock-in. It also looks like the project outputs also help better manage where taxpayer money is being spent. They also mention in the talk how the existing Municipal Money portal data was used (another open source portal with an API).
