Netflix has a new rival and you can try now for FREE in the UK – thereafter £5.99 a month for BritBox

The long-awaited video-on-demand service from BBC and ITV boasts a slew of hugely-popular shows from the back catalogue of both broadcasters for some serious binge-watching. BritBox launched in the United States and Canada back in 2017 and currently enjoys around 700,000 paid subscribers.

Problem is a number of these shows are on BBC iPlayer for UK already. Whilst the site does not appear to geo-block me it does require a UK credit or debit card to sign up. Would have made sense for this to open up globally to complete truly with Netflix.
