This is basically a Pi computer that reads a current sensor clamped over any power cable. So it need not only be for the mains power coming into the house, but also for other devices such as for example at hot water geyser.

Something I really love about Victron solar systems is their built-in support for MQTT and open data interfaces. Although this project does not involve that, it is also potentially possible.
