Battery Monitor Comparison: Shunt vs Hall Sensor

YouTube thumbnail showing tow battery monitor devices, with words Shunt vs Hall Sensor

This was quite interesting as I bought the identical Eco-Worthy battery monitor for my LiFePO4 battery. It’s true there is no lab quality benchmark being done to see if both of these are maybe wildly inaccurate, but it does at least show that a shunt and hall sensor based monitor do in aft give similar readings.

I went with the Eco-Worthy hall sensor option for the reasons stated: It was a bit cheaper and easier to install. Good to see, at least it is a lot quicker in adjusting readings (although that should have nothing to do with the current sensor itself).
