The latest Skype Insider build has a new feature called "Meet Now" that makes it easy to invite anyone to a Skype call. With the feature, you can create a link to a call that can be shared with anyone, including people who don’t have a Skype account.
This is long overdue in this age of click and use without going through lengthy registration processes for every different conferencing app everyone uses. Just a pity that Skype is still a centralised messaging service outside our country, as a peer-to-peer service is often quicker and more local (like Skype used to have when it started out).
