SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband will cost $99USD (ZAR1,600) monthly, but in SA the Ka-Band is $80 (ZAR1,299) pm for 20Mbps uncapped

It’s actually not a bad deal considering the Starlink higher speed and pretty good latency. The main difference within SA is probably that you can get a much cheaper service but then you are on 5 Mbps uncapped. Starlink’s speed is expected to vary from 50 Mbps to 150 Mbps with latencies between 20ms to 40ms.
